The preliminary task - The Evaluation

After filming out meeting videos we edited them on imovie, this allowed us to make the scenes shorter and have better pace and also allowed us to add non diagetic music. After we had finished we watched each other's video's this allowed us to give both positive and negative feedback to each other's videos.


POSITIVE COMMENTS =  Good editing techniques used such as shot reverse shot and matching on   
action. The good use of non digetic music and dialogue in the video. They shots were planned well and the pace and tempo was well thought out.


NEGATIVE COMMENTS = to develop the characters in the piece and use a different range of camera shots other than long shot and over the should shot.


Evaluation is very good because it allows you to take in postitive and negative comments and it allows you to see through other peoples eyes. It will also help you when me when we do our real horror trailer.

I chose to do the apprentice time meeting theme for my preliminary task. Planning is a big part of filming, it helps you sort out where and what everybody has to do. Story boarding is a very good way to plan.

The preliminary task - The meeting

To start off with we were given a preliminary task. The preliminary task was to create a short meeting video lasting about 2 minutes. This will give us a heads up on what we will be doing later in the year, it will also teach us how to use the camera's better. In order to plan this we need to make a story board, make the script, sort out the characters. We need to plan out the camera shots such as long shots and mid shots.
For our meeting we chose the apprentice type meeting. We will show before the boardroom,in the boardroom and after the boardroom using various camera shot types and angles. 

Introduction

My name is phoebe okeowo. I have just started my A2 media course, this will involve me developing a new horror movie trailer with the people in my group, we are creating the actual horror trailer and a film poster to go along with this. During this project i will be constantly blogging all my new ideas and blogging all my progress throughout the course. I am very excited to make this horror trailer.
