Filming

Filming our horror trailer overall has been fun and exciting experience, both filming and starring in other trailers. I thought that filming could be done in one day but it actually takes a very long time and its hard work. Luckily sophie owns a high tech camera so we did not face the struggles of having to rent out cameras. Our horror trailer is set in a school which was once a mental asylum so we decided to film around acland burghley school, we thought this was the best thing to do. There are a number of difficulties one can face when filming, out of focus camera, lighting problems ECT.
Some of our scenes were filmed in the void, this was difficult, reason being that we have got to go down there with a teacher; without supervision is forbidden.
Filming is over now but it was very exciting and we are starting to edit.

Film Poster

This the offical 'The Asylum' film poster, it has all the attributes a film poster should have; the name which is writing in a horror font which was found on dafont.dom . It has the actors which are starring in the movie, the tagline (how far would you go to find out the truth). You would find this poster in magazines, shop windows, bus adverts and many other places.

Filming Day 2

Now we have found our inspector Sager who will be played by Tom Heinz we can commence Day 2 of filming. Our main location is in 'Brook House School Asylum' we decided to film inside Acland Burghley School. We used a high quality camera which had a microphone attached to the camera which made it very easy to get the sound when filming. Even though we only filmed 4 scenes we filmed from 12pm to 6pm. We filmed throughout the school, the corridors, the classrooms and the common room. The lighting throughout the building changed which was very creative with a piece of film, however we might need to use some editing techniques to make the lighting even better. Our friends Kally, Kirby and Laressa also helped us by playing the mental patients in our trailer, there acting was good and will be effective in our trailer.
