Editing Process

iMovie
`Editing out horror trailer 'The Asylum' has not been easy and takes a lot of hard work. As I have no experience iMovie, therefore a member of my group done majority of the editing, however I was by her side contributing ideas as to how we can make our horror trailer the best it can be.  Using iMovie is difficult when you have no experience with using it or any editing programs, however I gave it a go.

Music is a big part of a horror trailer as it creates the mood and atmosphere. We had large selection to choose from from a rapper/producer named Awate. As a group we chose the best song which we thought suited our horror trailer the most. We decided to choose a song which starts off slow and dreary then picks up in pace and tempo as it continues.

When we actually sat down to edit our trailer we found out that a lot of our footage was not useable due to different reasons; the sound may not have picked up or the lighting was not very good. We had to re-film some scenes, we filmed 18 minutes worth of footage and we only used 1min 18seconds.
